Objectives
The objectives of this remote training, organized in partnership with AFPEV and AFTPVA, is to help participants discover and understand:
- the operating principles of the main instrumental techniques for quantifying flow properties (section of viscosity, viscometer, rheometer,…)
- Their respective contributions and limitations for R&D or quality control purposes

- Any industrial sector concerned with the development, manufacture orapplication paints and their ingredients
Engineer / Technician / Student / Manager
Prerequisites: Professional activity and/or training related to the field of paints, varnishes, inks, glues, coatings, etc.
Program
- Technical and scientific issues of formulation, production and application of paints and links with measurement issues
- Main instrumental techniques of rheological measurement (viscosity section, viscometer, rheometer, etc.), quantities measured and relationship to rheological concepts
- Conclusions on the contributions and limits of the different techniques in R&D, quality control or in production
