Series 2 – Quantifying the dynamics of matter
Introduction to Behavioral Techniques
Thursday 4 March 2021
14am-15pm
We qualify as "behavioural" all the techniques making it possible to quantify properties linked to the dynamic behavior of matter, that is to say its sensitivity to thermomechanical constraints of implementation (rheology, behavior at interfaces, texture, phase transition, etc.).
In this webinar, from an overview of different behavioral techniques (cutting viscosity, consistometer, texturometer, viscometer, rheometer, tribometer, etc.), we will introduce certain experimental concepts to clarify the operating principles, advantages and limits of use of these techniques in the face of industrial issues.
We will show that the question of measurement is a question of representation of phenomena before being a question of precision and repeatability.
