RHEONIS contributes to Anton-Paar application notes on powder cell for rheometer

We have adjusted and implemented different types of test on the Anton-Paar powder cell fitted to our rheometers to characterize the physical parameters associated with caking, abrasion and bridging phenomena observed in process for powders polymers.

Experimental simulation techniques at the service of the product/process

Comparative characterization makes it possible to identify the relevant measurable physical parameters to quantify the differences in behavior in production or in application and to initiate an interpretation of the factors influencing the observed phenomena, desirable or not.

Correlation of the sensitivity of the parameters of interest to formulation and/or processing factors is then the key to developing instrumental techniques into predictive approaches and experimental process simulation.

It therefore becomes possible to determine the favorable factors in R&D and thus rationalize industrialization and limit the number of tests, with notable gains in material consumption and mobilization of means of production.
